PROJECT
Henry Wood House, 3-7 Langham Place, London

ARCHITECT
Buckley Yeoman Gray
VALUE
Confidential
Our team worked closely with architects Buckley Yeoman Gray to implement a 1960s inspired design scheme across nine floors. This included the provision of private and open plan office space with dedicated meeting rooms, reception, lounge and ClubRooms, as well as a cinema, library, gym and breakout facilities. Bespoke to the project was the provision of exclusive penthouse meeting room space on the rooftop.
The fit out paid homage to the building’s 1960s heritage and included a number of retro features. Antique wooden cabinets were procured and converted into bespoke vanity units for the male and female washrooms and original auditorium seating sourced and refurbished for the cinema. The building’s original floor finishes were also incorporated into the fit out and blend seamlessly with new finishes in wood, carpet and retro style floor tiles.
Future-proofing the office spaces to support change requirements, without compromising services was an important factor in the scheme. As a result, all mechanical and electrical installations have been cleverly fitted into the building’s structural support columns and high-level services left exposed.
Works to the exterior of the building comprised the installation of acoustic enclosures. Structural supports were required to bear the load of the enclosures, which weighed in the region of 10 tonnes. Our team also constructed a bike shed, fence and security gate in the courtyard, in preparation for landscaping works that followed the fit out.
