PROJECT
50 New Bond Street, London
CLIENT
Urban&Civic
ARCHITECT
Fletcher Priest Architects
VALUE
£585,000
The project’s focus was on quality and achieving a vibrant work environment for Urban&Civic’s staff. Particular emphasis was placed on client-facing areas such as the boardroom, reception and meeting room spaces, which include backlit walls and branded ceilings. The library offers a more relaxed meeting environment, achieved by natural oak floor-to-ceiling bookshelves, wall panels, LED lighting and plied carpet. The main office space is light and airy, decorated with contemporary lighting, glazed manifestations, large backlit graphics and modern workstations. A large proportion of the furniture in the open plan areas is British-made, and all of the timber used was sustainably sourced.
Mechanical and electrical works used cost effective solutions and included the reuse of existing high-level services, ceilings and light fittings in the open plan areas.
