On Friday 14 June, we returned to Powerleague Shoreditch for the third Parkeray Charity 5-A-Side Football Tournament.
18 participating companies from our client base and supply chain made for an action-packed day from start to finish. There was plenty of sweat, goals and passion, as each team battled their way through the tournament in the wind, rain and fleeting sunshine (so much for summer).
Congratulations to this year’s Cup and Tournament winners London AC, followed by runners up GDM Partnership. Tournament first-timers Fabrix Capital took home the Plate, with Quantem Consulting as runners up.
The cup was so close, yet so far away for Parkeray Teams 1 and 2, who crashed out of the tournament in the Group and Knock Out Stages. Better luck next year guys!
Each year we use our tournament platform to support a well-deserving charity and this event was no exception. We were delighted to partner with Mencap UK and help spread awareness for people with learning difficulties. Mencap’s vision is for a world where people with a learning disability are valued equally, listened to and included. On the day we were joined by charity reps, Ahmed, Lorraine and Harry who helped close out the tournament by presenting medals to all of the winners. With half of the proceeds from the event donated to Mencap, we were happy to present them with a big cheque to the sum of £3,800.
A BBQ followed by drinks gave everyone a chance to wind down, relax and mingle with fellow colleagues as we wrapped up our 2019 tournament for another year.
