The fit-out of Lloyd’s Register’s Global Technology Centre at Hampshire House has been shortlisted for a BCO Regional Award, under the Fit Out of Workplace category – marking an exciting achievement for all involved.
Led by Graham Smith, the highly collaborative project involved close cooperation between Team Parkeray, the professional team, and the client to transform the outdated 1980s-style floorplate into a modern and functional workplace environment.
Inspired by the company’s rich shipping history, the office space design pays tribute to life at sea and incorporates various work settings for focused and confidential operations, training, socialising, and entertaining.
Notably, the fit-out integrated sustainability practices by reusing many items from Lloyd’s Register’s previous office, including desks, chairs, lockers, and FCUs. This commitment to sustainability aligns with the company’s values and demonstrates a responsible approach to the project.
The recognition of being shortlisted for the award is a testament to the collaborative nature of the project and the hard work and dedication of all involved.
The winner for the Fit Out of Workplace category will be revealed at the BCO Regional Awards Lunch in May, adding to the anticipation surrounding this significant achievement.
Congratulations to all involved.
