PROJECT
The Adelphi Building, John Adam Street, London
CLIENT
The Economist Group
ARCHITECT
Perkins + Will
VALUE
Confidential
This fit out of a single floor was completed to provide a new modern and functional office space including meeting rooms, cellular offices, radio rooms, edit suites and a vibrant entrance hub.
Bespoke feature joinery included work benches, banquet seating, tea points, fabric walls to the meeting and dining rooms. Artwork throughout the space reflects the heritage of the newspaper.
The project was delivered as a fast-track design and build scheme to a 16-week programme, with the challenge of creating a number of different spaces on the floor. To ensure successful delivery, a sequence was formulated across the space with every trade working in one direction.
This project was awarded Medium Commercial Interiors Project of the Year at Mixology 2018.
