Parkeray Participates in ECEW Conference

We were delighted to have participated in Cranford Community College and Berkeley Academy’s Environment, Climate Change, Efficiency and Workload Conference (ECEW).

Staff members from both institutions joined us at Parkeray HQ on Friday, 2 November, for a presentation by our Sustainability Team (Chris Blencowe and Beth Jepson) and our new Head of Design (Bruce Pounder). The interactive session covered key themes in sustainability, wellbeing and sustainable design.  We also discussed our approach to calculating our carbon footprint and the measures we are taking to reduce our emissions to meet our Net Zero 2050 target.

The group also joined us for a tour of a completed project nearby, where they saw first-hand sustainable materials incorporated within the built environment, such as countertops made from recycled glass and vegan leather upholstery. The client has made fantastic efforts to deliver social impact by actively supporting new British artists through their rotating art displays.

We were delighted to participate in this initiative and look forward to collaborating again with Cranfield Community College and Berkeley Academy.
