Matt Liddell

Matt brings to the table a wealth of expertise and a portfolio of exciting high-profile projects for iconic brands such as the Shard and Facebook. His experience includes not only traditional office fits outs, but projects for other sectors as well, such as retail, corporate banking, healthcare and insurance.

Funny, easy-going and dedicated, Matt enjoys the variety of people he comes into contact on a daily basis through his work and from his experience, this could mean from everyday people to Royalty. Not many people can claim they’ve been formally introduced to the Duke of Gloucester and Countess of Wessex, or had lunch with Margaret Thatcher, but Matt can!

Described by his friends as mad, up for anything, funny and hilarious, Matt is known for using the phrase “Live the dream!” Outside of work, he does well to fulfill this, whether it’s enjoying sports such as rugby league, golf and boxing, going to the pub, spending time with his children and wife and travelling.

Not only does Matt “Live the Dream” he also makes them reality, through his efficient management skills and dedication to seeing a project through, from concept to completion.

Owens interests outside of work include cars, cinema, design, a keen interest in American sports and he also plays the electric guitar, badly!

It is what it is

Mike Murray

Ask anyone why they stay here so long and the answer is always ‘the people’.

Mike always says and believes that Parkeray is a company “about people, for people”, get that right and the rest should be plain sailing.

For Mike, construction is about perspective and just doing the simple things well. Say what you do and do what you say, work hard, play hard, get on with people and have fun.

His indulgence is Rugby; he was there when Jonny kicked that goal! When time permits he loves to dance, his early years saw him no stranger to catsuits and sequins.

Mike, Mick, Mickey, everybody’s friend, leader and confidante, is always available to take your call.

Building is not about bricks and mortar, it’s about people

Michael McCulloch

Michael was our first ever services trainee, qualifying with a First Class (Hons) degree in Building Services Engineering. Mike thrives on being part of the growing construction industry, travelling from site to site, seeing a project come together from start to the very end, preferably without any leaks!

He prides himself on the fact that he is a people person, easy to work with and a true team player. Mike enjoys working with and meeting new people, from supply chain to clients alike. He believes that coming together is a beginning; keeping together is progress; working together is success.

Outside of work Mike likes to spend his free time visiting friends across the country, eating and nice restaurants and socialising; he is always up for a laugh. When it comes to sport, football and skiing are his other passion along with an obsession with buying shoes!

You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough

It’ll be fine

Stephen Gohery

Stephen brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his role as project manager. With a varied site, services and project management background, he thrives on each new project and the set of unique challenges it may bring.

Stephen’s easy going but professional attitude puts clients at ease as he takes care of their needs while creating a jovial atmosphere. One of his mantras is that life’s too short; let’s just get the project built between us.

A young family takes up most of Stephen’s spare time and DIY around the house take up the rest. He is a keen biker but strictly only the motor type and when it comes to sport, Rugby is a favourite. Stephen follows London Irish and enjoys the annual Six Nation’s tournament.

Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself

Julie Levy

Julie brings a wealth of accounting experience to our finance team having previously worked for an American Investment Bank in the city for more than 10 years and is the key point of contact for anyone who has any issues or queries concerning our suppliers.

She is extremely reliable and meticulous in her approach to all things financial but also appreciates the relaxed, friendly working environment of the team which she particularly enjoys.

In her spare time, Julie likes to practice Pilates and catch up with friends although with 3 young sons there isn’t often too much of that to spare. She also finds herself constantly redecorating her home!

They can only say no

Jodie Green

Jodie joined Parkeray in 2002 working within the Estimating department keeping the boys (as was then) in check. She managed all estimates and submissions. After becoming a mum for the first time, Jodie returned to join the sales and marketing team as her keen eye for detail and the fact she was a stickler for alignment fitted perfectly!

She is a highly valued member of the team, is always helpful and willing to turn her hand to any task, from managing events, writing complex submissions and working on marketing campaigns. She is also responsible for managing our website and producing our in-house magazine; Parklife.

Outside of the office she loves going to the cinema, music and sport, Wimbledon tennis was always one of her favourites. She is a keen gig goer and loves a bit of rock, be it anything from Bon Jovi to Bryan Adams, but all this comes after ‘mum duties’ to her two children, which she says are her biggest achievement.

Jess Kelly

Jess joined the finance team in 2013 after 4 years at specialist contractor MPG and has her level 3 Association of Accounting Technician’s (AAT) diploma.

She says she prefers to be kept busy and works well under pressure. Friendly and organised Jess likes to help others whenever she can and enjoys working in a team environment.

In her spare time Jess loves going out with her friends and spending time with family but her real passion is dance…all kinds… ballet, tap, street or theatre and is training for her teaching qualification so that one day she can run her own class. Oh and let’s not forget that she is a qualified football referee too!

Jamie Walker

Jamie joined Parkeray in 2010 and has completed her Association of Accounting Technician’s (AAT) qualification, she enjoys the fun and relaxed atmosphere that the office provides.

She likes to get on with her work and get her head down to make sure things are done. Some would say she is slightly OCD, particularly with her desk as everything has its place – people know not to touch anything!

Outside of work Jamie is a dab hand at DIY, a skill she learnt at an early age from her dad. She is currently busy renovating her second house where knocking down walls and rebuilding new ones is keeping her busy!

In her school days, she loved sport and was Essex high jump champion 4 years in a row. As well as winning swimming galas and playing basketball for the London team! Her most recent love is her Chihuahua, Larry, who likes to have a snuggle on the sofa every evening.

If you don’t ask, you don’t get

Vince Bevan

Vince’s career in construction began after leaving school. He trained as a gas engineer and later set up his own building company, which kick-started his experience working on construction sites.

With 22 years experience on the tools as a dry liner under his belt, Vince worked his way up from site manager to contracts manager and eventually found himself working for a main fit out contractor for three years as a project manager. In his time there, he completed a £2.6m fit out, which resulted in the company’s first ever SKA Gold rating – an achievement he is especially proud of.

Family life keeps Vince busy. However, he enjoys live music and loves going to concerts as much as he can. Watching motorsports is another one of his favourite past times – any type will do, particularly Formula 1 and Moto GP (motorbikes).

Vince enjoys seeing a project through to completion and the client with the end product. He describes himself as a nightmare to work with “I’m always right! And I tend to think I can do the job better than anyone else, so I’m never satisfied”. It’s an approach that works and keeps the client happy. Thankfully, Vince isn’t as bad to work with as he thinks!

Being good at what you do takes a lot of hard work
