Ellie Proctor

Ellie was our preconstruction coordinator for two years before moving on to become secretary for the interiors team.  Before joining Parkeray, Ellie spent four years working for a well-known main contractor as information manager.

Providing administration support both in the office and on site, Ellie’s all round skill-set has proved to be an asset to our organisation as well as her industry knowledge. Ellie’s bright and chirpy demeanour adds a bit of light-heartedness to what can be a highly-pressurised environment.

In her spare time, she enjoys socialising with friends and the odd cocktail or two. Ellie also enjoys travelling and spent eight months in South East Asia in 2014.

Zbigniew Rutkowski aka Bishak

Bishak started working with Parkeray back in 2002 as a self employed labourer. In 2005, through his work ethic and commitment we decided we should bring him on board full time. He now works as a site foreman and strong number two, mainly to Alan West, Jon Pye and Gerry Gilbert.

Bishak runs the day to day logistics, environmental and safety management extremely well and in doing so has received plaudits from all comers. His commitment has earned him our first elite ‘outstanding achievement award’ for his contribution to the successful operation of our site in the Commonwealth Building of ICL’s busy Hammersmith campus.

Some of the initiatives that Bishak has instigated are extremely creative such as the introduction of the “Bishhook” and no loading red zones both of which deal really well with some of the old perennials we often have to deal with on site such as trailing cables, damage to existing finishes and congested circulation routes.

Bishak came over from Gdansk in 2002 and in his words has ‘been lucky to come to Parkeray’. A long way from his childhood dream of becoming a footballer! He was pretty good, perhaps not quite good enough to be a pro but certainly held together the Parkeray 5 a-side team who only drew one game…….. and lost all the others!!!

Out of work, when not spending time with his wife and two sons, he loves tinkering on his computer, he studied IT basic C++ programming before leaving Poland.

James Maxwell

Jim is a previous winner of our annual H&S award for his work at Bedford Square. He has worked on prestigious projects such as Amnesty International UK, Unilever, ICL and the Science Museum.

He is a strong leader who demonstrates mutual respect and stands by his word. He views Parkeray very much as a family, with everyone being involved in the decision making process.

Jim loves the great outdoors and is part of the Parkeray Challenge Team. He enjoys most sports, plays golf and is regularly out on his bike.

Bartek’s cheerful easy going nature makes him an integral part of the site based team and he is also a previous winner of the company quarterly health and safety award.

Outside of work Bartek enjoys family outings with his two boys and cooking. To keep fit, he enjoys running with his husky dog and also rugby. Back in Poland, he played in the rugby league for many years. Snowboarding is also a favourite pastime of Bartek’s.

Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep moving

Karl Severs

Our Project Director Karl brings a wealth of project management experience to our team along with his silver fern.

An avid Rugby fan, family guy and general sports enthusiast, when Karl’s hard-hat comes off, he is busy coaching mini league rugby at his local club. He is also pretty active and when he is not spending time with family and friends – in particular, his twin daughters and son, he loves running and snowboarding whenever he gets the chance.

On site, Karl enjoys the team culture, the banter and everyone working towards one common goal – successful project delivery and a satisfied client at handover.

Toby Milsom

As Head of Creative Design, Toby overseas every aspect of design to our business and ensures, our marcomm’s are beautifully on brand.

A countryman at heart, Toby left Hunstanton – a quiet seaside town in Norfolk at the age of 18 to study for his degree in Visual Communication at the University of Central England before settling in London.

Toby has a strong creative background working on some well know print brands. Toby has also acquired a wealth of design experience as a freelancer, working on high-profile marketing campaigns within the advertising sector. In his previous role, Toby worked as a multimedia designer for Kanter Media Custom for two years. All or nothing

Lesley Brewster

Lesley joined Parkeray in summer 2014 and brought her wonderful laugh, quirky sense of humour and boundlessly creative ideas to the marketing team.

Her passion for all things marketing started when she was about 7 and at Heathrow, off to visit relatives in Barbados: she became fascinated with the airline’s marketing material and later wrote to other airlines requesting they send her theirs! This enthusiasm turned professional when Lesley set up Hotminute, a lifestyle and events online publication, and later started her career in marketing in the fit out construction industry before joining Parkeray.

Lesley has a wide range of interests outside of work, from attending unusual gym classes to car design, popcorn (strictly “sweet and salty” only), board games and everything in between. Everything but snow, which should be banned, according to Lesley!

Bernard Ryan

Bernard joined us in 2012 but started in the industry over 40 years ago through the old fashioned apprenticeship route. Although he is a skilled carpenter he has over 30 years’ experience as an estimator and loves that his role is demanding yet rewarding. He particularly enjoys working with the people in his team and likes to think he is methodical and hardworking, an approach he expects from those around him.

A keen sportsman, Bernard was a league squash player in his day but these days sticks to running, cycling and the gym for fitness. He follows rugby, F1 and football, choosing Man Utd as his team since the Georgie Best days! In his spare time he works on his labour of love, renovating his Grade II listed house.

Ben Crisp

Ben has held senior estimating roles for two competitor main contacting companies in the fit out industry and joins our team with a vast amount of experience and knowledge. He has, over the years successfully secured many notable project include Eurostar changeover at Kings Cross.

At work he is easy going and extremely approachable. He thrives on the fact that every project is different from the last and no two days are ever the same!

A sports fan and music lover, his particular favourites include West Ham Utd and anything from 60’s & 70’s regarding music. At home Ben enjoys spending time with his family, that’s when he isn’t playing lead guitar in a Blues Rock Band!

Lets Rock…!

Brian Hemmings

Brian has a master’s degree in Quantity Surveying and joined Parkeray in 2014. During his time in the industry he has been involved in some impressive project such as Europe’s longest champagne bar at St Pancras, the National Portrait Gallery restaurants and also Kings Place. More recently he has been involved in high end fit outs for Yum, home to brands such as to KFC, Taco Bell and Pizza Hut and for Clear Channel refurbishing their headquarters.

Tenacious, passionate and driven by the Parkeray culture, Brian’s belief is to do the best that you can do while surrounded by the right people.

Away from work Brian enjoys cooking and trying new culinary delights. When he’s not scoffing his face, he likes to throw himself off the side of a mountain with a bike, some people call it mountain biking, his friends call it madness! He does it at night too, twice as dangerous and definitely twice as much fun!
