Jon Pye

Very much part of the Parkeray family, Jon joined us in our first year and was an integral part of the team, completing some of our most memorable projects. Most recently he was the dedicated project lead working exclusively with The Office Group for more than 9 years, successfully overseeing in excess of thirty schemes.

Now some 25 years on and as Operations Director Jon partners his joviality with honesty and integrity.

Jon is a keen golfer and organises the annual Parkeray golfing weekend. When not on the golf course Jon loves spending time at the weekends with his family or doing a spot of DIY.

Always look on the bright side of life

Frank Armstrong

Frank has been involved with many of our award-winning projects being services manager on three of the four CMYA projects; Nestor House for Euromoney, the Humanities Department and Sherfield Library at ICL which also won a RIBA and Gold AIS award. He won a quarterly and annual H&S award at the college.

His primary role is services but he loves to dabble in the building aspect of projects. He is hard working, dedicated and enjoys what he does. As a keen participant in the Parkeray Challenge Team, he has taken on the 3 Peaks, South Downs Way and also the 4 Peaks…..all in his site boots!

Away from work Frank enjoys spending his free time with his wife, daughters and granddaughters.

You can’t eat an elephant in one bite

Steve Mott

Steve joined Parkeray in 2016 as services manager with an abundance of experience and technical knowledge. His outstanding communications skills and strong presence on site saw him promoted to construction director in 2022.

As an integral part of the team Steve is highly respected, articulate and will encourage the onsite team to ensure a high standard of delivery. Always up for a new challenge, one of Steve’s beliefs is the difference between ordinary and extraordinary is that little extra.

In his spare time, Steve enjoys spending time with his young family and meeting up with friends. He also follows ice hockey, likes to travel and can often be found tending to his tank of marine fish.

You only miss 100% of the shots you don’t take

Chris Ayers

Chris has a BSc in Construction Management which is reflected in the way he operates and delivers his projects.

Chris is one of our “go to bowlers”, quietly assured with exceptional man management skills. He brings out the best in people.

He has successfully delivered a number of our highest profile projects, always done with the minimum of fuss, superbly organised (his signature), taking a lead role and exuding confidence.

A lover of all sports and a dedicated Hammer’s fan.

Duncan Elphick

Duncan joined Parkeray in 2004 and was appointed to the board of directors in 2013. His main responsibility as director is to manage and support our project teams, giving advice, direction and guidance. Duncan is hard working, always seeking to achieve goals and targets set with the right level of quality. Duncan believes Parkeray has a unique style and approach which sets us apart from our peers.

He is a keen member of the Parkeray Challenge team, having completed the 3 Peaks Challenge, South Downs Way, the Lake District 4 Peaks and 75 miles around the Isle of Wight, all of which raised much needed funds for charity.

Clare Ashmore

Clare joined Parkeray in 2000 and the main board in 2005. Drawing on her vast experience of the construction industry she takes a direct involvement in client liaison embracing her Project Sponsor role. Clare acts as a point of contact at the highest level for our clients and their team. She views things from the client’s point of view and works closely with our team and theirs to ensure all requirements are understood and delivered.

She has full authority to act on behalf of the company for the good of any project. Clare also ensures the consistency of our brand internally and externally through to delivery.

Clare is a shareholder of the company and is well respected not only within the business but also within the wider industry having held her position on the main operating board of the British Council of Offices since 2011. She is also a past winner of the annual Movers and Shakers award and the G4C award for leadership.

Out of the office you can find Clare on the water, racing yachts in the Solent from her home in Cowes. She is a Yachtmaster, Rescuediver and she takes challenges head on, whether it is conquering Kilimanjaro, doing the Fastnet or making bee hives with fresh cow dung!!

Family, friends and laughter mean everything to Clare.

Let life be a daring adventure or nothing

Terry Tracey

Terry joined us as project manager in 2000 and then in 2012 turned his attention to Health & Safety, gaining his first NEBOSH qualification that year. Since then he has progressed to Health and Safety Manager and then Director where he uses his extensive experience to oversee and advise our health and safety team on all Parkeray projects both Interiors and Lite.

His passion and allegiance to Parkeray is matched by his passion for a good, practical, pragmatic health and safety approach. Terry has a real sense of pride in his work and his attention to detail while carrying out safety audits is uncompromising.

Away from work Terry has a passion for fitness and you will often find him at the gym. He is also a lover of music…. listening to anything from country to rock. His first record; 1972, 45″ T Rex, Metal Guru which he played over and over on his Mum’s old radiogram.

The grass never grows on a busy street

Shantel Lewis

Shantel joins our estimating team with over 10 years’ admin experience. Prior to arriving at Parkeray, Shantel worked within the industry as a senior administrator for a building control company.

Thriving under pressure and supremely organised (she has a folder for everything!) Shantel works alongside our estimating coordinator Heather, to ensure our estimating team’s operations run as smoothly as possible.

Outside of her nine to five, Shantel likes to spend time socialising with friends and travelling, even though she has a fear of flying! Her favourite place to visit is Turkey and having found her own idea of paradise there, she just can’t get enough and returns at least once a year.

Sam Overton

Sam worked in the industry before joining our training scheme where he successfully completed his BSc Construction Management degree whilst gaining valuable training on site. Sam has been involved in some prestigious projects for clients such as Virgin Atlantic Airways and one of our largest projects at Tintagel House for The Office Group.

An outgoing, confident and overall nice guy, Sam enjoys working in a team environment on site and the responsibilities his day-to-day work entails. Not one for getting stuck behind a desk, Sam enjoys interacting with all those involved from clients to subcontractors and having a positive influence on the project team.

Football is a passion of Sam’s; in fact, it was his passion for the game that started our annual charity 5-a-side football tournament.

Rob Cafferty

Rob joined the services team at the beginning of 2014 and has over 30 years’ experience in the construction industry. He also spent a number of years in process engineering and was involved with the largest medical gases installation in Europe of its time, at The Royal London & St Bart’s Hospitals.

He has completed numerous projects in Canary Wharf and for various clients such as The Office Group, NBC Universal, GlaxoSmithKline and Paramount Pictures.

His easy going, calm nature means Rob doesn’t get stressed and says that having fun helps get the job done. He is a positive presence on a project and believes that you should always let people know when they are doing a good job.

Rob has completed various charity challenges including a 555km off road cycle ride from through Vietnam & Cambodia, hiking 45miles around the coast of Jersey and 60miles along the Jurassic coast.

Phil Pearce

Phil has over 34 years of experience within the construction industry, specialising in the project management of multi-disciplinary projects ranging in value from £150,000 to £150 million. A founder member of Parkeray in 1998, Phil was appointed the position of MD of the Interiors team in 2008 and CEO as of 2022.

Phil believes in absolute quality from inception to completion. His vision is to seek continual improvement in all that we stand for and all that we do.

Outside work, Phil loves cooking and is a keen photographer. He also enjoys watching most sports, participating in some (playing golf) and a committed follower and avid supporter of both his son’s footballing endeavours. More recently, he is fully embracing dance – ballet, acro and modern – via his daughter – as his feet are not made for dancing!!

Something of a gadget man (but not a geek!) he is interested in all technological developments that aid and assist us in a forever changing world.

Peter Kerr

Peter has been around since “Before the beginning”; one of the two company founders.

After working in construction since the early 80’s focussing on work winning, Peter now heads up IT at Parkeray; with special focus on the integration of our cutting-edge Project Information Management software provided by Deltek. Software that organises and makes available project information to our teams of decision makers and thus empowers them to make prompt and informed decisions and streamline project delivery.

Quality is remembering long after the price is forgotten
