Parkeray is currently on site delivering the refurbishment of The Office Group’s largest property to date – Tintagel House. The eleven-storey, former home of the Metropolitan Police is in the process of being transformed into 120,000 sq ft of flexible office and co-working space ready for market.
Working with careful consideration for the community, our team led by Graham Ward and Martin Wilson plan on leaving behind a positive legacy once the project completes and have donated three new nanny goats to the Vauxhall City Farm.
Located just a stone’s throw from Tintagel House, Vauxhall City Farm is a peaceful haven away from City life and is home to a number of animals. As a registered charity, they provide riding lessons and educational activities for local schools as well as transport animals to the Lambeth Country Show each year. The farm is also a fantastic outlet for stress release for our site team, who make ad-hoc visits to feed the animals; returning to site rejuvenated and at one with their calmer self!
Graham and Martin visited the farm in May to find out how Parkeray could best assist the charity and decided to donate three new nanny goats, as insufficient stabling space meant the original offer of two new donkeys wasn’t possible. Abigail, Amelia and Tinkerbelle are now settling in nicely at the farm.
Our team’s work didn’t stop there. They partnered with Oakmont Construction (the base build contractors for the project) and utilised recycled plywood formwork to remove the old and re-line the riding paddock fence panels just in time for the centre’s reopening on August 21.
